Boros Daya, HP Slate 'Depak' Windows 7

Jakarta - Hewlett Packard dan Microsoft diberitakan menggarap tablet HP Slate berbasis Windows 7 untuk menantang Apple iPad. Namun dari kabar yang sedang beredar kencang di internet, HP bakal mendepak OS Windows 7 dari HP Slate dan menggantinya dengan Web OS Palm. Menurut sumber yang dikutip situs TechCrunch, HP tidak begitu senang dengan performa keseluruhan Windows 7 di tablet Slate. OS tersebut dikatakan terlalu boros daya saat dipakai di tablet. Selain itu, biaya lisensi Windows 7 berpotensi melonjakkan harga tablet tersebut. Di sisi lain, HP sudah sepakat mengakuisisi vendor smartphone Palm.
